I have specialised in school entrance exams since 2015, with particular expertise in preparing children for the highly competitive 11+ exams. Every one of my students has been accepted into at least one of their top three chosen schools, and many have gained places at some of the most selective London day schools and UK boarding schools. My students have been successful at Bute House, Lady Eleanor Holles, South Hampstead High School, Putney High School, Highgate, North London Collegiate, City of London School for Girls, Wetherby, Westminster Under, Westminster Cathedral Choir School, St Paul’s, King’s, New College, Eltham College, Magdalen College, Brighton College, the Perse School and Caldicott. I have also successfully prepared students for boarding schools such as Summer Fields, Badminton and Radley.
Alongside my 11+ work, I also have extensive experience preparing children for the 7+ exams. In 2018 I created my own website offering tailored 7+ resources, including a bespoke curriculum and exam papers in English and Maths. This early entrance exam experience has given me a strong understanding of how best to prepare younger children, laying the foundations for future success at 11+.
I often work with international families, particularly in Asia, helping students transition to the British National Curriculum and prepare for a UK education. As a fully qualified primary teacher with over a decade of classroom experience in both the state and private sectors in the UK and internationally, I bring both breadth and depth of expertise. I have taught across Reception to Year 6, and at university I specialised in ASD, giving me a strong understanding of additional support needs. Having taught English in Italy, I also understand how bilingual children learn best, and I hold a qualification from the British Dyslexia Association which enables me to adapt lessons effectively for children who face barriers to traditional teaching methods.
