I began tutoring Spanish to Year 9 students as a volunteer while I was still in Year 10 and quickly discovered a real aptitude and passion for teaching. Since then, I have delivered over 400 hours of professional tutoring through platforms and private clients.
During my gap year, I worked closely with a Year 7 student who was behind in Maths, English, Spanish, and Science. Through regular one-to-one support, I helped him build both his academic foundation and his confidence. By the end of the year, his parents were extremely pleased with the noticeable improvements he had made across all subjects.
While studying for my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students from varied educational backgrounds. I supported several pupils preparing for 11+ and 13+ entrance exams, including students with learning difficulties such as ADHD and dyslexia, tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs.
Over the years, I have tutored many students for their GCSEs, primarily in Maths but also in English, Spanish, and the Sciences. I worked closely with them in the lead-up to their exams, and all achieved the grades they were aiming for.
One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had was working with a GCSE student who had been out of education for an extended period due to mental health challenges. I supported her in gradually rebuilding her academic confidence, providing a structured yet compassionate approach that enabled her to successfully sit her GCSEs and attain the grades she needed.
At A-level, I have tutored several students in Maths and helped them prepare for university applications. This included support with personal statements, revision for entrance exams such as the MAT, and conducting mock interviews to build their confidence and reduce anxiety ahead of real interviews.
